All the elimination round will be on 23rd August, 2006.
and the finals will be on 24th August, 2006.

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF DIFFERENT EVENTS

  1. B-QUIZ:
    • A team consisting of two members can participate in the quiz.
    • The B-Quiz will comprise of a Qualifying Phase and a Final Phase.
  1. AD-MAD SHOW:
    • As the name suggests, the Ads should look Mad / Hilarious.
    • In all there would be 3 rounds.
    • The 1st round will comprise of a Role Play, the topic for which will be given on the same day i.e. on 23rd August   . The Role Play should be of maximum 1 minute.
    • On the basis of 1st round 5 teams will be selected for the next round.
    • The selected participants have to compulsorily perform in the other two rounds.
    • In the 2nd round on 24th August, the participants have to compulsorily make the Ads technically i.e. using computers with the help of software’s or PowerPoint. This Ad should also be of maximum 1 minute duration. The theme or topic would be given on the spot.
    • The required software, clippings, photograph etc should be brought by the participants. Computer and Internet facility will be provided by the college.
    • The 3rd and final round will be the Radio Voice round in which the participants have to give voice behind the stage as heard in private / national radios. The time duration in this round will also be of maximum 1 minute.
  1. DOCUMENTARIES:
    • The documentary should address some social ill prevailing in our society.
    • Maximum duration of the documentary should not exceed 15 minutes.
    • It has to be an audio-visual presentation
      Selection criteria:-

    • Effectiveness
    • Audience Appreciation
      Documentary can be made in PowerPoint or any other video enabled software.
  1. BRAND ANTAKSHRI:
    • Only one team can represent from one college.
    • In all, six teams will be selected for the game with the help of elimination round among all the teams.
    • Each team can only have 3 members.
    • There will be 4 rounds.
    • After each round one team with lowest points will be eliminated.
    • Three teams will compete in the final round.
    • For ex. In any of the rounds we will be giving the name of a particular Brand or Show a mute visual AD of that Brand and the participant will have to identify and sing the song of the AD.
  1. EXTEMPORE:
    • There will be two rounds.
    • The elimination round i.e. the first round will comprise of a Group Discussion.
    • In the final round topic for the extempore will be given 5 minutes in advance.
    • Every participant in the final round will be given three minutes to speak.
  1. DEBATE:
    • There will be three rounds.
    • Each team comprises of 2 students.
    • The first round i.e. elimination round will comprise of a Group Discussion.
    • 4 teams will qualify for the second round i.e. the semi final round.
    • Two teams from the semi finals will qualify for the third and the final round.
    • The time limit allotted for the semi-final and final rounds is of 3 minutes per participant.
  1. CAPITAL MARKET:
    • Game will be of 2 days.
    • Candidate will be provided Rs 10,00,000 (Imaginary).
    • He/She can trade maximum 4 times a day. (2 hours in the morning and 2 hours after lunch)
    • He/She will be given 30 minutes to construct their portfolio on the basis of the rate displayed from time to time.
    • Brokerage will be charged at the rate of Rs 0.10/100 at the time of purchase/sale of any script.
    • Service tax will be charged at the rate of 12.24%.
    • The game consists of BSE 30 Scripts.
    • Candidates would not be provided with PC for dealing, but would deal with the help of dealers
  1. CASE-STUDY:
    • All the teams interested to participate must register before 10th August 2006. After registration the case will be e-mailed to them on 11th August 2006, which they have to solve and mail us back by 15th August 2006.
    • Only 1 team per college is allowed.
    • Each team shall comprise of two students.
    • Each team has to submit solved case paper that should be limited to 2500 words.
    • On the basis of written report five teams will be short listed.
    • The teams which are short listed will be informed through mail and will have to come to TIMS for the next stage and they are required to bring along with them a soft copy (CD) of the Power Point Presentation.
    • The Powerpoint Presentation should not exceed a maximum duration of 20 minutes which will be followed by a Question & Answer session of 10 minutes.
    • Winners will be decided on the basis of combined score of written paper and oral presentation.
    • Entries have to E-mailed to udaan2006_tims@yahoo.co.in with the subject CASE COMPETITION - UDAAN 06 in a MS Word attachment.
  1. POSTER MAKING:
    • One participant is allowed for one poster.
    • Time allotted will be 1 hour.
    • The poster has to be made on a social awareness theme.
