Eligibility to Apply
A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Students appearing for final year of degree examination are also eligible to apply. Their admission, if selected, will be subject to submission of their final year's result of graduation within the stipulated time. Students with legitimate work experience will be given preference in admission.
Selection
1. Written Test
The applicant will have to appear for the Written Test "Management Aptitude Test (MAT)" to be conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi on February 3, 2008 or on May 4, 2008 at various centres all over India.
2. Group Discussion and Personal Interview
The applicants, screened through the written test as above (best of the two), will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at the Institute (TIMS). The final selection will depend on the overall performance of the applicant in the Written Test, Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Work Experience.
3. Number Of Seats
60 (10% reserved for Non-Resident Indian (NRI) candidates).
Institute has applied to All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi for increase in the intake to 120, and waiting for the approval.
How to Apply
Obtain MAT Bulletin Either from : ALL INDIA MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (AIMA), Centre for Management Services, Management House, 14, Institutional Area, Lodhi Road, New Delhi - 110 003 by sending a DD for Rs. 750/- drawn in favour of "AIMA-CMS", payable at New Delhi.
OR From
TOLANI INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES, Lilashah Ashram Road, Opp. Railway Crossing, ADIPUR - Kachchh - 370 205 (Gujarat State), INDIA, on payment of Rs. 750/- in cash or by DD drawn in favour of "Tolani Institute of Management Studies", payable at Adipur - Kachchh.
The MAT form to be submitted by the applicant directly to AIMA, New Delhi before the due dates specified in MAT bulletins.
AND
In addition to the above, obtain TIMS Prospectus 2008 and Application Form from : Tolani Institute of Management Studies, Adipur on payment of Rs. 250/- in cash or DD in favour of 'Tolani Institute of Management Studies' payable at Adipur. Alternatively, the application form may be downloaded from the institute's website and submitted to the institute along with a DD for Rs. 250/-. The last date for submission of TIMS Application Form is June 23
nd, 2008.
The applicants called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview will have to pay additional Rs. 300/- towards the cost of administration of Group Discussion and Personal Interview and Result Processing Cost.
Please note that it is COMPULSORY to fill up Both the Forms (MAT FORM & TIMS APPLICATION FORM).
TIMS - PGDBM FEES FOR THE BATCH 2008 - 2010 DEADLINES
1) Non-refundable Fees
Admission Fee : Rs. 2500/- payable only once at the time of admission.
Tuition Fee :Rs. 39500/- per semester OR U.S. Dollars 1600 or equivalent UK Sterling Pounds per semester for NRI candidates.
The above fees (Sr. No.2 to 5) shall be as follows:
For Semester I : On Admission within 15 days of admission offer.
For Semester II : On or before 20th December, 2008.
For Semester III : On or before 20th July, 2009.
For Semester IV : On or before 20th December, 2009.
Once paid, all these fees are NON-REFUNDABLE iin all circumstances for whatever reason.
Refundable Fee/Deposit
1.TIMS Alumni Life Membership Fee : Rs. 1000/- payable only once at the time of admission. (This fee is refundable in case of withdrawal or cancellation of admission during First Semester only).
2. Convocation Fee : Rs. 500/- payable only once at the time of admission. (This fee is refundable only, in case of withdrawal or cancellation of admission).
3. Caution Money & Library Deposit : Rs. 6000/- payable only once at the time of admission.(This deposit will be refunded on completion of the programme or on withdrawal/cancellation of admission offer deducting the following :
ET subscription : Rs. 1600/-
Any outstanding Library or Office dues.
General
All these fees are payable on or before the due dates mentioned above by an A/c. Payee Demand Draft in favour of "Tolani Institute of Management Studies", payable at Adipur - Kachchh - Gujarat.
TIMS - PGDBM Scholarships
The Institute offers 50% scholarship upto four students (2 from each year) belonging to economically weaker sections of society at its sole discretion.
Educational Loans
Many banks like Dena Bank, UTI Bank, ICICI Bank, Corporation Bank, etc. provide Educational Loan to Students. The details of loans are available from local branches of these banks.
Important rules to be observed by the students
1. Cellular Phones are strictly prohibited in the campus. Any student found carrying the same will be fined for Rs. 500/- for the first time, and if found guilty again, the GSM / CDMA / WLL instrument will be confiscated and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against that student which may extend to termination of his/her admission.
2. Students with absolute score of less than 35 in the English section of MAT February / May 2008, will have to compulsorily undergo the Refresher course in English organized by the Institute.
3. Students are required to observe the dress code in all the formal functions of the Institute.
Hostel fees
For hostel admission, separate formalities are to be complied with. Hostel accommodation is provided by Gandhidham Collegiate Board (GCB) on twin sharing basis and the Hostel Fees are payable directly to GCB. The hostels (separate for Boys & Girls) are located near the campus with Mess facilities.

Hostel Rental Rs. 5,000/- per semester for academic year 2008-2009 (Rs. 5,000 x 2 = Rs. 10,000 per annum)
Electricity charges : As per actual
Mess charges - Rs. 1000/- (Per Month)
2. Refundable
Mess Deposit Rs. 1200/-
Electricity Deposit Rs. 2500/-
Caution Money Rs. 500/-
The above fees are payable in cash at the time of hostel admission and may be revised by GCB from time to time on annual basis.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
>Please note that good physical and mental stamina are prerequisite for admission to the programme. The students may be asked to produce the medical fitness certificate, if necessary.
>Institute reserves right to accept or reject any application or to cancel admission without assigning any reason.
