August -2005 :
Remix Dance & Skit were performed by F.Y.B.Com Student

September -2005 :
YOUTH FESTIVAL
1) 1st Prize won by Subhash Swami in Western Vocal Song Competition.
2) 3rd Prize won by Kamal Lalwani in Collage Competition (Fine Art)
3) 2nd Prize won in March Past, its theme was “Kachchh Nu Vikas”.

5TH September : Teachers Day was celebrated – Sonam Goyal was selected as Best Teacher

October -2005 :
Parents’ Day was organized in the presence of 25 (approx.) parents or guardians. Students were honoured for achievements with a Cultural Programme

November -2005 :
“ON THE SPOT ACTING COMPETITION” for the topics like a Small Kid, Politician etc.
1st prize won by Aarti Sharma.
2nd prize won by Vivek Gadhavi.

December -2005 :
“ADVERTISEMENT’ COMPETITION” – Students had prepared Jingles and Advertisement and performed on the stage. Topics for advertisement were ‘Fairness Cream for males’, Credit Card, Hair Oil etc.

January -2006 :
“NEW YEAR DAY” was celebrated & on the same day “ROSE DAY” was organized, of which Rose King was Pramod Goyal &Rose Queen was Swati Dangar.

PICNIC : for 1 day was organized till Morbi’s Hanging bridge, Vankaner Palace & Machchhu Dam.

Academic achievements by Staff & Students

Staff :

Prof. Kinjal V. Ahir registered for Ph. D. on August 23, 2005 with Dr. Kishore Joshi, Economics Department, Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar for the topic “Shifting the Burden : Public & Private Financing of Higher Education in Philippines & its Implications for India.”

PROF. KINJAL AHIR: attended a seminar on 23-24th February at MSU - Baroda on How to use the Statistical tools in researches of Social Science.

A FULL SYLLABUS PRESENTATION OF ECONOMIC: by Prof. Kinjal Ahir.

Prof. Archana K. Kella appeared for National Eligibility Test (NET) by UGC in the subject “Commerce” on 31st Dec. 05.

Students appeared for 1st Internal Examination. Goyal Sonam got 1st Rank.
Students were shown Answer Paper by all the Faculties of all the Subjects

Other activities

1. OHP PRESENTATION COMPETITION : in 3 rounds, with 18 participants and 25-30 audiences received great response from students. Topics concerned by them were really varied & challenging.
2. PARLIAMENT : & its detailed OHP presentation was done by a student.
3. G.D. TRAINING : as it is done in entrances with various judgement criterias and a demo of same.
4. HEADLINES 2005 : in which 3 news were presented – International, Entertainment and Indian Political news 2005 – by students, using OHP.
5. WEEKLY NEWS & HISTORICAL CHARACTER DISCRIPTION (HCD) : is a part of every forum activity. In HCD generally internationally famous but locally unknown characters are chosen through the site of History Channel.

Newspaper Special :
Named file is placed in the Staff Room in which from every day’s newspaper cutting are placed.

Sports :

A student Bath Jaspreetsingh won 2nd prize in athletics in Nakhatrana.
