CULFEST 2007

“CULTURE” is a learning that people inherit in them over the years and “FESTIVAL” is the medium through which one expresses or presents his or her culture. When both these words are joined, it becomes “CULFEST”, the perfect time when talent meets opportunity and excitement meets celebration. This Culfest 2007 charmingly spread the sunshine of love, unity & enthusiasm in the hearts & minds of every member of the TIMS family.

This Culfest, the students and the faculty were divided into groups of five Pandavas The Yudhisthir, Bhim, Arjun, Nakul and Sahdev, all of them competing against each other in the field of cultural, academic and sports events.

The festival was from 24th December to 29th December, 2007. Exciting days like Bappi Day, Baby's Day Out, Rangeela Day and Hawai Day was observed during this whole season. The sports & games included Chess, Table Tennis, Cricket, Volley-ball, 100mt Race, 200mt Race, Relay Race and Slow Biking; while the cultural programs comprised of Rangoli making, Singing and Dance competitions. Programs such as Kahani Mein Twist, Ad-Mad Show and Fast n Furious really filled the atmosphere with echoes of laughter and excitement. Academic events like Group Discussion, Debate, B-Quiz and 2-Min Manager were also scheduled therein. On 29th December, a FOOD FESTIVAL was also organized, wherein the breakfast and lunch was prepared and brought by the students of first year.

One of the most beautiful components of this festival was “the Antakshri”, in which all the staff members of the TIMS family had participated. Both, the students and the faculty members enjoyed it to the maximum.

A Grand Eve was organized on the final day of the Culfest which started at 5 pm on that day. This sensational evening was brightened up by the exceptional singing, dancing and other performances of the TIMS students.
