Electricity will be charged extra in IInd Term at the time of
acceptance of fees.
Fees once paid will not be refunded in case of withdrawal of
admission from the Hostel. Only deposits will be refunded after
submitting No Dues Certificate from the Hostel
Superintendent.
The hostel committee under the Chairpersonship of the
President, Gandhidham Collegiate Board frames the rules and
regulations of the Hostels, and is the final authority in matters
concerning the Hostels. The Hostel provides accommodation
during the operative academic sessions.
Students are strictly required to adhere to all hostel rules and
regulations. Non-compliance in any manner may result in
suspension from the hostel and even from the college.
1. For Hostel Admission :
1.1 Hostel accommodation is provided to students admitted
only in colleges managed by Gandhidham Collegiate Board as
regular students and are coming from outside Adipur /
Gandhidham.
Although we try to accommodate every outstation students,
these facilities are strictly on first-come-first-serve and
availability basis
1.2 Exceptions may be made in the special case (subject to
availability of seats) and on a case to case basis after scrutiny of
the applicant's circumstances by the Hostel Admission
Committee..
1.3 A student seeking admission to the Hostel should apply on
the prescribed form available from the Hostel office. The
management reserves the right to deny admission to the Hostel
to a candidate without assigning any reasons.
1.4 At the time of admission the applicant and his/her
parents/guardians shall be required to give an undertaking for
good conduct, payment of dues in time, adherence to
College/Hostel rules to be enforced from time to time. For
women applicants, the parents/guardians must also nominate
(with signature attested and verified) a local guardian, and also
provide his/her photograph.
1.5 Admission to the Hostel cannot be claimed as a matter of
right by those who have been residents in the preceding years.
nd There will be no automatic admission to the Hostel in the 2 and
rd 3 year.
1.6 Residents are required to vacate their rooms within 5 days
of their last University/College annual examination and hand
over the keys of their rooms to the Warden, failing which they
would not be admitted to the Hostel the following year even if
otherwise eligible. The management/warden is authorized to
remove the belongings in the room (if any) and put an official
lock.
Any resident who ceases to be on the rolls of college of Tolani
Campus shall not be allowed to retain his/her seat in Hostel.
2. Facilities :
(i) Cots with mattress, table, chair and cupboard are provided by
the hostel authorities.
(ii) Drinking water coolers with Aqua Guard are available in the
hostels.
(iii) In winter hot water is available in bathrooms.
(iv) Every hostel has a television set for entertainment.
(v) Newspaper reading facility is available in every hostel.
(vi) Laundry facilities from outside agency are available.
3. Mess Facilities :
Every hostel has an in-house Dining Hall & Mess.
The present rates are as under :

Students are allowed 7 cuts during the month (Rs. 2/- will be
charged against each cut). If they do not want to dine at mess for
a longer duration in a month, they will be charged for 23 days
anyway (in vacations Mess Bill will not be charged). Students
have to pay the mess bill directly to the Mess every month.
3.1 The mess is run by a contractor authorized by the
management. A mess committee comprising elected students,
warden and a member of the Management is formed for smooth
functioning of the mess.
3.2 All residents are required to take their meals in the dining hall
during the hours fixed. Membership to the mess is compulsory
for every student of the Hostel. However, in exceptional
circumstances, a resident may be allowed to put his/her diet off
for a period of not more than seven days. A minimum charge of
Rs. 2 (Two) per day will be charged from during such a period.
Resident going out of station for seven days or more should sign
off in the register available with the mess manager, failing which
the mess bill will be charged in full.
3.3 A resident can entertain a guest for meals in the mess after
buying a guest coupon, which will be available during meals in
the dining hall.
3.4 Meals will not be served outside the dining hall except in the
case of illness. In no case will utensils be allowed to be taken out
of the kitchen/dining hall premises.
3.5 Late breakfast and dinner are not allowed. Late lunch will
be kept only for those residents who come late due to their
classes/exams. This facility is possible only after prior
information to the mess manager.
3.6 No personal cooking shall be permitted in any room.
3.7 Residents are not permitted to enter the Kitchen.
3.8 Mess and Hostel dues should be cleared by the 10th of
every month or as announced by the Hostel authorities from
time to time. Mess charges must definitely be cleared by the
10th of every month, failing which a late fine of Rs. 10/- per day
will be charged. In the first week of the following month the
parent/local guardian will be informed and the resident student
will not be allowed to have food in the mess and he/she may be
liable for any other disciplinary action which the Warden deems
fit. All mess charges are subject to revision from time to time.
4. General Rules and Conditions for Residents :
4.1 If it is found at any time that a student has secured the
admission to the Hostel by furnishing wrong information
(forged marks-sheet/documents) or by concealment of any vital
information regarding Hostel/College admission rules, his/her
admission will be cancelled forthwith. If any resident is found to
be forging parents/local guardians' signature, he / she will be
expelled from the Hostel.
4.2 At the time of admission, a resident will have to give an
undertaking that he/she abides by the rules of the Hostel as
framed from time to time. This undertaking will have to be
countersigned by the guardian/parent of the resident.
4.3 A resident may have a guest for a maximum period of one
day with prior written permission of the warden. The same
person cannot be the guest of another student thereafter. Any
resident having any unauthorized guest shall face strict
disciplinary action. The guest register is always available with
the day and night security guard, who is on duty at the gate. A
resident must obtain prior permission from the Warden and
make entry in the guest register before having a guest in his/her
room. The guest charge will be decided by the Hostel
Committee. No guests are allowed in a room in the absence of
allottee.
4.4 Residents are responsible for the care and maintenance of
furniture and fixture provided to them at the time of admission.
They are required to return the allotted furniture in good
condition. Any damage of Hostel property or correction is liable
to lead to a collective penalty on all bonafide residents of Hostel.
Residents are not permitted to use additional appliances such as
coolers, heaters etc. However, electric iron may be used with
the prior permission of the Warden. Appropriate charges will be
levied for the use of such appliances.
4.5 Residents must maintain proper decorum in the Hostel.
They are required to behave properly with members of the
service staff and their fellow students. Students are required to
maintain silence in the corridors, and care should be taken not to
disturb the atmosphere of the hostel by playing loud music or by
making noise. Any activity disturbing others will be against the
rules.
4.6 Residents are expected to keep their rooms, bathrooms and
surroundings tidy. They are not to disfigure the walls. They are
accountable for any misuse or loss of Hostel property.
4.7 The Warden/Principal can, without assigning any reason,
change/open the room allotted to a resident. Non-compliance
of order in this regard is to be treated as a serious breach of
discipline inviting penal action. Any attempt or connivance
leading to any damage to Hostel property/building or image of
the institution shall be treated as an act of gross indiscipline
inviting penal action including fine as well as cancellation of
seat. Every resident is required to abide by the rules and
regulations of the Hostel. Any one breaking any rule will be
liable for disciplinary action, including a fine, warning and
ultimately expulsion from the Hostel.
4.8 No student shall leave the hostel without seeking
permission from the Warden. The same applies to leave for the
vacation periods. Residents are advised to procure such
permission well in advance before the commencement of
vacation to avoid last minute inconvenience.
All leave applied for or sanctioned must compulsorily be entered
in the leave application book.
Additional Rules for Girls Hostel
4.9 All the students should return to their rooms by 8.00 p.m.
4.10 Male visitors are TOTALLY prohibited from entering the
premises of the Women's Hostel. Visitor to the Women's Hostel
can meet residents strictly between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the
designated visitor's area.
4.11 A roll-call will be taken at 8.00 p.m. daily. All residents are
required to be present, unless prior leave has been obtained
from the matron. No resident must leave the Hostel after the roll
call. Violation of this rule leads to expulsion.
4.12 Outing is allowed to a resident thrice a week Timings are 5
pm to 7 pm in summers and 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm in winters.
4.13 Late night-out is allowed until 10.00 pm upto maximum of
two occasions in a calendar month. For security reasons, the
local guardian or any escort approved by her must accompany
the ward back to the Hostel. Night-out leave is allowed up to
maximum of TWO every month for a visit to local guardian.
Parents/Guardian must specify whether late night-out leave is to
be granted to their daughter/ward, specifying the name and
address of the Local Guardian with whom only overnight stay
will be permitted. It is to be noted that the Hostel shall not be
responsible for a resident when she is outside the Hostel
Campus.
The signature of the local guardian must be verified and attested
by the Parents / Guardian while grating the above 'permission' at
the time of admission. Residents are required to fill out a nightout
leave form every time they avail of such leave. Upon return
from a 'night-out leave' this form must be produced before the
Warden, duly signed by the authorized local guardian. The
signature will be matched with the available records every time
by the Hostel Warden.
Permission for an overnight stay in a place not specifically
mandated by parents/guardians at the time of admission in the
designated form will not be granted. Any residents failing to
return to the Hostel after the expiry of her leave without
intimation will be liable to strict disciplinary action.
5. Medical Facilities :
At the time of admission, all students are required to fill in the
Medical Fitness form available in the Hostel office. In case of a
medical emergency a student will be taken to the nearest
hospital and the local guardian will be informed. The local
guardian will have to take charge thereafter and the entire
responsibility for treatment and related expenses will be borne
by the Parents / Local Guardian.
6. Games and Students Activities :
Common Room and Games : The hostel has common room
equipped with daily newspaper and magazine, carom board,
chess etc., Television with cable is provided. The Hostel also
has gymnasium facility on the playground which is available on
payment.
7. Withdrawal from the Hostel :
The Hostel security deposit will be refundable only after the
room has been vacated. The payment will be made only after
the receipt of a request on the prescribed application form, and
after deducting the cost of breakage and outstanding dues, if
any.
Security money has to be claimed within seven days after
leaving the Hostel; the same will lapse to the Hostel's account.
In case of withdrawal, hostel charges will not be refunded.
IMPORTANT :
- Admission to the hostel rests entirely with the hostel authorities.
- Hostel accommodation cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
- Hostel Authorities are not responsible for the personal safety and safety of the belongings of Hostel.
- Mobile phone is permitted at one's own responsibility.
- No outsider is allowed to stay in the rooms. Any inmate found to be supporting illegal stay of outsiders will be expelled from the hostel after cancelling the admission and forfeiting deposits.
- Misbehavior of any kind within or outside the hostel premises will not be tolerated and is liable to strong disciplinary action.
* The College in which a hostel-inmate pursues his/her studies shall be involved in the case of misbehavior, illegal conduct, dues clearance etc. at the hostel; The college shall also take the necessary action in the matter, according to the rules and regulations. Hostel complaints may even lead to termination of admission/dismissal of the concerned student from the college.
* Hostel authorities/management will not be responsible for any criminal/illegal activities indulged in by the hostel-inmates. The resident shall be solely responsible in such cases and will be handed over to the Police.
* Any inmate involved in the acts against the general interests of the hostel and its decorum will be dealt with strictly and will be liable for legal action.
* RAGGING, IN ANY FORM, CAUSING MENTAL AND PHYSICAL AGONY AND ABETMENT, IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED UNDER UNIVERSITY ORDINANCE - XVC AND WILL INVITE STRICT DISCIPLINARY ACTION TO THE EXTENT OF EXPULSION FROM THE HOSTEL.
