3. 25 students of TIP participated in the students meet organized by TFG Polytechnic, ISTE STUDENTS CHAPTER. Ms. Sondhera Kanchan of SY D Pharm presented a paper on “significance and viability of industrial and practical training”. The paper was highly appreciated by the Jury. 4. On 02/10/2007, 6 students attended “Yuva Sajjata Shivir” organized by Institute of Youth development at Leva Patel Education and Medical Trust Hall. The event was well covered by local newspapers. 5. 46 students actively got trained in the Pulse Polio Vaccination Program held at Rambaug Government Hospital on 03/01/2008. 16 students administered vaccines to children at different booths in Adipur-Gandhidham complex on 06/01/2008. 6. GSNP Plus conducted AIDS Awareness seminar in association with AIDS CONTROL SOCIETY in the college campus on 04/01/2008. Active participation of students and staff as well was received. The message of the seminar was “AIDS pidit ne dava ni nahi prem ni jarur chhe”. 7. Field work under Module syllabus for Environment Science was conducted on 20/09/2007 at Govt. Medicnal Plant garden at Nani Reladi, Bhuj. More than 50 students guided by Mr. Bhupendra Modi and Mrs. Amita Patel did the fieldwork. 8. Mr. Modi Bhupendra and Mr. I D Advani successfully completed staff development program as a workshop on preparation for NBA accreditation on 17/09/07 19/09/07 at TFG polytechnic Adipur, conducted by National Institute of Technical Teacher's Training and Research, Bhopal (NITTTR). 9. Welcome party to first year students were given by their immediate seniors on 22nd December. Whole hearted participation of students and staff was received and the event was celebrated with pomp and joy. On this occasion, Mr. Vikram Thakkar of SY D Pharm was judged as Best Dressed Male and Ms. Narwani Vanita was judged as Best Dressed Female. 10. TOLANI INSTITUTE OF PHARMACY SHINING IN KACHCHH UNIVERSITY Out of total 25 boys of S Y D Pharm 16 participated in various sports and athletic events of KSKV Kachchh University during the month of September. Under the inspirational guidance of Prof. I D Advani, following students came out with flying colours and bagged medals and awards:
Mr. Sameer P Goswami was declared as the “Athlete of the Year 2007” by KSKV Kachchh University for his outstanding performance. 11. TIP successfully hosted Chess Tournament 2007- second time in a row, under the banner of Kachchh University. Total 12 teams of various colleges affiliated to KSKV Kachchh University participated in the event with great enthusiasm and were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the institute. 12. On 22/01/2007, Swadhyaya Pariwar, Adipur & TIP ALUMINI ASSOCIATION headed by Mr. Ashok Ganatra, organized a speech competition among the students of FY and SY D Pharm. 13. On 19/12/2007, in association with Lioness club of Gandhidham and Raja Bhai Patel Blood Bank, a Thalassaemia Detection Camp was organized. 55 students got their blood tested for the presence of disease. A research paper titled “Development and validation of new Volta metric method for estimation of Rabeprazole in bulk, formulation and plasma and its degradation studies” was presented at the 49th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress held at Varanasi on 21st-25th December. Mrs. Richa Dayaramani, Lecturer, Tolani Institute of Pharmacy carried out the research work. 2. Mr. Narendra Kalwani, an Alumni of TIP, 2007 batch, working as Marketing Representative with Cipla Pharmaceuticals Ltd., has achieved highest target in November 2007 as 7.6 lacs in one month in Kachchh region. His efforts are noticed, appreciated and rewarded by the employer. We wish him all the best for his future.
